Bulldogs Ball Hockey, Winter Season, Game 5
We had a good game last night. We didn’t win (not sure of the score, but I believe it was somewhere around 6-3) but we had a good time, or at least I did. I don’t know if it’s cause I missed last weeks game, or if I was still excited about the new deep-fryer that I bought yeserday, but I had a really good time playing, and didn’t want to change off. I also noticed that I wasn’t out of breath as much as in other games. I was able to last for a long time, and didn’t once feel like I needed to get off for a break.
The other team (Balls without Borders) was a good team. I don’t think that we have ever played them before, as I didn’t recognize anybody on the team. They seemed like they were out there to have fun, and not just to win, which is the way that it should be. Unfortunately there are a couple teams out there that seem only to be in it to win, and it’s never a fun game.
This season we seem to be stuck with alot of 9pm games, which isn’t really a good time for a game, as it’s usually too late to wait until after the game to have some dinner, and dinner before a game is never a good idea. It also means that usually nobody wants to go out to the pub afterward for drinks.
We started off this season strong, winning our first two games, but it’s been rough since then, although we are keeping the scores pretty close. We are definitely doing better than last season, where we didn’t get one win at all. The main thing is that we are having fun out there, and ultimately that’s what it’s all about.
